Friday 4 July 2025 Languages and Culture Celebration The school was awash with international bunting to mark our two International Curriculum Days on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th June. At the core of the days was a desire to celebrate the wonderful range of languages and culture in our school community. The children dressed up representing a variety of countries on both days ready to celebrate across the curriculum.

Friday 9 May 2025 Sal's Shoes Charity Day Today we had a fantastic time celebrating our House Charity Day in support of Sal’s Shoes, raising over £500! The children came to school in their own clothes and wore odd shoes to help raise awareness for children around the world who don’t have proper footwear. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, having fun, and showing such kindness and generosity for a great cause. Thank you to all our families for your support!

Monday 28 April 2025 PTFA Mini Marathon On Friday afternoon, at Wimbledon Park Athletics Track, the first Wimbledon Park Primary School Mini Marathon took place. The event captured the imagination of the school community and close top 50% of the children took part, showing great determination and effort in completing their running challenge.

Tuesday 11 February 2025 Year 6 French Uniform Year 6 have been working on the topic of school and clothes in French this term. They have designed and described their dream uniform in French with labels applying the colour agreement rule they have leant. This is part of a competition on Fashion involving Primary School children studying languages across SW London. We look forward to the results at our SW London Primary languages conference we are hosting this week at Wimbledon Park.

Tuesday 11 February 2025 Wimbledon Park student achieves European tennis success! Tommy Gabor was part of the Great Britain Under 12 Boys tennis team that were crowned champions in the prestigious Europe Winter cup recently, beating Romania, Denmark on their way to victory in the final against Poland. An exceptional achievement that we are very proud of - well done Tommy!

Thursday 6 February 2025 Year 4 Roman Amphitheatre Trip Year 4 pupils had a fantastic trip to see the remains of a Roman amphitheatre at the Guildhall Gallery, where they delved into the history of the Romans. The visit helped extend their knowledge, bringing their classroom learning to life. The children explored the structure, discovered fascinating facts about Roman entertainment, and saw how it influenced modern-day arenas. The trip was a great opportunity for them to share their newfound knowledge and enhance their understanding of Roman history in a fun and interactive way.

Tuesday 7 January 2025 Year 2 French Epiphany Lesson This week in France many people celebrate the Epiphany on the 6th January and eat the famous cake, the Galette des Rois, with a hidden charm inside. Whoever gets the charm in their slice becomes King or Queen for the day and wears a crown. Year 2 made crowns in their French lesson this week to celebrate this.

Thursday 19 December 2024 Year 5 and 6 French Cultural Links Alongside the children’s language learning in their weekly lessons, we believe there is enormous value in the development of cultural awareness through establishing links with schools in France and French speaking countries further afield.

Friday 13 December 2024 House Charity Day Thank you so much for your generous support for the first House charity day this school year. Charities that they would like to support this year are chosen by the children who then organise awareness and promotion of this during the day in school.
