It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our wonderful school. Despite our size, families call us the “village school in the heart of Wimbledon” which captures the essence of the unique family atmosphere and our fantastic pastoral care.

Wimbledon Park Primary School is a fun and amazing school. I joined in reception and I have had so many happy moments during my education here. This fantastic school has so much to offer from exciting trips and fun lessons to playing outside and bonding with friends. The teachers are really kind and are more like heroes than educators. I enjoyed making bread in year 4 and hot cross buns in year 6. I will cherish these happy, laughter-filled memories forever.

I have found the last two weeks [volunteering in school] genuinely inspiring. It becomes easy to see why the school is successful when one spends a little time within it. There's a true sense of teamwork among all the staff and I truly believe I've spent some time with some masters of the teaching craft. The love and care the teachers exhibit daily has at times moved me to tears. It is also truly heartening to know as a parent, that the people you love most in the world are taken care of so beautifully.

I joined Wimbledon Park after moving from Shanghai. Although friendship groups had already been established and I spoke very little English, every pupil was friendly, supportive and welcomed me in. I made friends really quickly and WPPS became my happy place. The teachers were incredibly kind and particularly supported me with reading and phonics. I made fantastic progress and exceeded my reading and writing targets - I am really proud of myself!

Governor...
As Governors we work closely with the Leadership Team to maintain the school as a great asset to the local community. The school has a rich curriculum, strong ethos of inclusion and is ambitious for every pupil. The staff here are exceptional and are encouraged to be innovative. There is an impressive system in place to enable continual learning and improvement making the school a great place to work. ‘Becoming your best’ is really true for the whole school community and we feel privileged to be part of the team.
