Instrument Tuition

Within the music curriculum, all children will learn to play several instruments as a whole class - percussion, both pitched and unpitched (Brazilian samba and West African percussion), recorder, ukulele and keyboard

Building on these foundations, some children will want to continue to learn a musical instrument.  We work with Merton Music Foundation alongside music teachers in school to offer pupils a wide range of instruments that children can learn in school.

• Recorder
• Flute
• Clarinet
• Saxophone

 Under these arrangements, children typically have a 30 minute music lesson, either individually or in a small group, each week.
