Dear parents and carers
Welcome back!
A very happy new year to you all! We have started 2020 with a very enthusiastic bang!!!
We have welcomed our new children in this week and the existing Nursery children have been brilliant; we are SO proud of how kind and helpful they have been to their new friends.
Thank you for your patience during this time- we were all there once! The new children are settling in well and learning the routines well.
Topic
Our new topic this half term is all about Transport; you may have been hearing about our ‘Naughty Bus’ story at home. We have been reading and thinking about all different types of transport- the children have had brilliant ideas including a magic carpet! There is a curriculum overview available in the Nursery section of the school website which will give you more information.
Diary dates
There are some upcoming dates for your diary:

We have a ‘Maths workshop’ on Wednesday 29th January at 6pm in the studio.

We have an INSET day on Friday 31st Janaury and are closed this day.

There are some induction sessions for volunteers coming up with Mrs Morgan on Friday 7th February, she will be running two 30 minute volunteer training sessions for parents at 9.00am and 2.45pm. You are welcome to attend either if you would like to volunteer in the school in any way.
Staff
We have welcomed Mrs Stephens to our team. We are thrilled that she has joined us- if you’re not sure who she is- her photo is on the staff noticeboard in the cloakroom. Pop by and say hello to her!
Nursery Parent Observation Sheet
Please return the Nursery Parent Observation Sheet update which was sent out via ParentMail this week. There are some paper copies in the cloakroom if you would prefer. These give us an invaluable insight into your child’s development at home and the key workers use this information to plan and support your child’s next steps. Please feel free to either email the completed form back to me or return the paper copy. We would like them all back by Friday 24th January.
